Cold Dew Solar Term in Shandong University
        DateandTime: 2019-10-15 15:23:15

Cold Dew, (Chinese: 寒露), is one of the 24 traditional Chinese solar terms. It is also the fifth solar term in Autumn, indicating it is getting colder and the dew on the ground is about to freeze into frost. Cold Dew begins this year on Oct 8 and ends on Oct 23. When the sun reaches the celestial longitude of 195 degrees, the swan gooses fly to south in a "single line" or a "herringbone shaped line", most of the sparrows are gone, chrysanthemum starts to bloom and autumn crops are ripe. Cold Dew is also a great time for hiking, fishing, eating hawthorns and drinking chrysanthemum wine.

Thanks to the arrival of Cold Dew, the autumn views in many places in China are very beautiful. SDU is no exception. It has already taken on a new look of late autumn with morning dews glimmering on grasses, cool breeze whistling through maple trees and warm sunshine falling on the footpath. Let's have a closer look at the picturesque scenery of SDU during the period and feel the clear sky and bracing air in the season.
